A funny memory of Mum was when the Head Teacher at Park Street C of E School came into her classroom one year to present some children with the prestigious Head Teacher's Award stickers. Mum, being the cheeky person she was, asked 'Do I get one?' The Head Teacher asked the class if Mrs Wheatcroft deserves the sticker, to Mum's dismay the children shouted in unison 'No!' The Head Teacher asked 'Why not?' The children replied 'because she is too naughty!'
